- In the 3D Canvas, click Display Menu, and select Layers.
- In the Geometries data grid, click Insert.
- Select the geometry file that contains the data for the surveyed face locations.
- Click Open.
- In the Layers form, click Close.
- In the Modes pane, click Orbit.
- Manipulate the 3D Canvas so you can see the position of a face location displayed by the geometry file on a heading.
- In the Modes pane, click Add.
- In the 3D Canvas, click the heading at the position at which it is intersected by the face of the geometry.
- In the Date column of the Tracking data grid, click the Calendar button and select the date at which the face position was reached.
Note: This does not have to be today's date, but it must be a date after the most recent face location you want to add to the headings.
The Layers form appears.
The Choose a Geometry form appears.
The file you selected appears in the Geometries data grid, and the geometry file is displayed in the 3D Canvas.
Tip: Setting the transparency of the geometry file can make it easier to see the position of faces on the heading.
Note: If you want to add tracking data to a heading that requires previous headings to be mined, you must add tracking data for the previous headings which records that sufficient mining is complete in the previous headings that the heading of interest is available for mining.
A new row appears in the Tracking data grid, with the columns filled for the Heading, Length, and % Complete based on the position you selected in the 3D Canvas.
